Default TDC sensor

Im in the Uk and have asked tis question but haven't got a straight answer.i have removed the stock(09) engine from my car and replaced it with an earlier "built engine". My problem is the later engine only has one TDC sensor on the exhaust cam where as the earlier engine has one on each cam.I was wondering if the sensor plate on the exhaust cam is the same for both engines?

As the 09 engine is being sold as a full motor I can't just strip it out and swap the parts. I just thought I would ask on here before I start stripping cam covers off and having a look.if the parts are different then I don't have a choice and will do what is needed to put the job right. Thanks for any advise.

The 09 crank sensor and Cam sensor is different from the earlier models. You could just order the sensor and the sensor wheels by itself.

Thank you for that if you don't mind me asking how do you know that?

The stock loom would not let me fit the old sensors, as the pin connectors are different anyway. I will have to use the sensors from my 09 engine, it's just the wheel that may be different.I may just bite the bullet and remove the rocker covers from both engines and have a look.
