Default Oil light

Hi, so i read alot here on the oil light coming on at idle after the engine is hot and that helped me to identify that it was a bearing on the crank that was the problem. Got the bearings on the crank polished, change all the gaskets, the pistons the rings, basically got the block rebuilt. Now the oil light still comes on at idle... Kinda lost, and wondering if with a rebuilt block, it's harmfull or what could i do??

Thanks

hook up a oil pressure reader and rely back the numbers (include year of car and any modifcations)

did you check your main journal?

What did the engine look like when you tore it apart? Did you plastigauge all the bearings both the old and new? Were any of your bearings spun? Usually an oil light on these cars suggests you have already spun a bearing.

Yes the bearing was definetly spun. I had metal and copper shavings in my oil, so that's why the shop had the engine rebuilt. But even though the bearings on the crankshaft have been repolished it still comes on.

Somewhere in the engine, you have an excessive oil clearance.

Sad to say the rebuild was a failure. Any of the mains, rod journals, top end or thrust surface can affect the oil pressure.
