Test pipes and Emissions Testing
Throw the converter back on..... its not worth the chance of getting caught...
And after this year the emissions testing is over.... at least down here it is!
BTW, what anti-fouler plug did you use?

I just would like to know that with a test pipe how much of Volume % CO is measured at idle 800 rpm and at high idle 2500 rpm... A ppm value would do nicely too.
Does anybody have this info?

1. try and get the car passed as is - bad thing is we might be visiting you in jail if they notice the converter missing!
2. try and bribe the echeck person - and we might visit you during your stay in jail!
3. don't get the echeck done and run with expired tags - just outrun the police when they try to stop you! again, we might visit you in jail!
4. take off the test tipe and put the converter back on for the echeck - see you at the Dragon and not in jail!!
I know that here there is no visual inspection AND the ppm counts are standardized. Things like big trucks have different standards, but my car can put out just as many emissions as 6.0L V-8 car at the same RPM. I imagine that I'd actually have enough emissions to see (one of them didn't even register last inspection) but it wouldn't be high enough to fail inspection.
I went to get tested (with OEM cat in place). They examined the car, said it was too low and sent me around to the front office. The dude in the front office just gave me a slip that said I was "in compliance" but that my car needed to be tested before 2 years was up. Oh yea, they did not charge me any fees either. So basically, I have to get retested within 2 years (we get tested every 2 years anyway).
The really dumb thing about this is that height requrment was used I guess to drive over the rollers to get to the area were they do OBDII testing. I could have just driven around the building and backed in to the OBDII area so they could hook up their connector. But its no big deal either way to me. I'll worry about it in 2 years.
