I was driving home the other night came to a red light and decided to get on it when the the light turned green. The sound of my T1r single is specatacular(I picked it up about a month ago), so wonderful that I bounced off the revlimiter in second, only once. I was embarrassed and ashamed of my mis shift.

Shortly after that I noticed that when shifting from second to third it would grind. Only second to third, it does not grind from fourh to third.

I read some other peoples threads and from there I decided to change my tranny fluid, and also the clutch fluid. Took it for a spin and it still grinds but not as harsh.

So my questions are:

1. Is this a common thing to happen if you bounce off the rev limiter?
2. How do I fix this, replace only the problem area, or replace the tranny? I am able to remove myself but I have never been inside a tranny and would want to give it to a specialist.
3. Am I going to cause damage to any other gears by driving it this way? Reason I ask is because if Im going to drop the tranny I would like to be able to replace the clutch while I am in there and I would have to save some funds for that.
