is the JDM throttle body any different from what we have in our cars? if it is what is the difference?

I bought SPEED throttlebody from scienceofspeed.com for $444.69 shipped to my door. It is on the site for $369 but works out to $444 after import and shipping charges. As far as I can tell it is the same as the spoon one for alot less. I wouldn't be surprised if spoon manufactures it for sceince of speed. It has a 16%increase in opening. They clain 6hp as does spoon. I can't verify this as I did not do a before after dyno. My car was missing the TB when I bought it at auction so I went with the bigger bore for better price. Sensors were included!

speed inc, and spoon = similar companies? indeed! - the parts are manufactured in the same place.

 

so wait...SPEED and Spoon products are identical?? so i guess Spoons parts are more expensive because of the name?

but are the SPEED products knockoffs of the Spoon, or of lower quality??
