Default Tic! Noise when engaging vtec

Hi. Thanks for reading this. and sorry for my bad english !!

Today i noticed again a sound ( loud TIC !! ) when the vtec engages. I was wondering if anybody had heard of this before. ( i searched for a thread about this but ... ) i say again cause at the beginning of summer the sound was there and got louder and before i had the time to open the valve cover ( witch was to long ) the car started the make noise like the tct had went bad. But when i opened the valve cover i saw that it was a valve noise. One rocker roller was broken and had stopped turning and grinded the cam lobe !!! Ish .... I replaced the rockers as a set 3 and the cam. So when i heard it today i went NUTS !!!!

Anyway i must say i have an ap1 2000 with apgraded valvetrain and a aem ems with de vtec set at 4000/rpm and that the sound isnt there at every engagement.

PLEASE ANY ADVISE WOULD HELP AT THIS POINT!!!

Thank you

A video or sound clip would probably help your cause.

When on a dyno my car makes a 'pop' noise as the car crosses over into vtec. It's normal. However who's to really say what's going on with yours.
