So i had multiple misfires in all cylinder and a ticking noise. And eventually after going over 70 mph my check enhine light woild flash. So i parked it for about a year in my garage. Fixed small things to see what would fix it.

I replaced plugs, coils, and swapped out injectors qith a buddy and installed new Timing chain tensioner. And still nothing. I finally had some free time and decided to adjust my valves. And BOOM no more ticking noise, no more check enhine light and no more misfires. Runs alot smoother as well. So hopefully this helps anybody yhat was having the same problem as me.

 

Ok, well I think I would have started with the VA. Its free. It aligns with all the symptoms.

Hopefully you don't have any burnt valves. Is this a dbw car? How many miles since last VA?

 

it is dbw. It had 17,000 from the last VA.

 

How far off the clearance was?

 

Most of them were good. But i hink a few were off likke 0.01 or 0.02 in.
