No, it doesn't rattle then, only at particular RPMs (3.5-4.5K).

OK...In my experience, it's not the tensioner in your case.

anybody know the size of maintenance bolt??? i can't find an allen key big enough for it.

I replaced mine a few weeks ago and the noise is gone!!! I think I had a bad one, rattled all the time at idle, only slighty quieter when warmed up.

The rattling on mine comes back very fast tho... couple of weeks at most. Anyone know what causes them to fail so easily? Its not thaty expensive but if i have to change 1 every month!

The plug you remove to take the pin out should be reinstalled with blue Lock-tight and minimal torque (aluminum housing). The factory installs it with what looks like a drop of red Lock-tight.
