Tips on installing SS brake lines
I'm confident I can install the new lines, but I'm worried about the mess it will make. Once the old line is removed, do I have to worry about fluid running out of the line? I don't want 4 puddles of brake fluid on my garage floor.
Also I'm changing to a different brake fluid, do I have to worry about purging the ABS pump? Or is just the standard brake bleeding process good enough?

Its messy but just put a $2.00 oil change pal on the floor under the lines as you change them, you'll be fine. Just make sure you have plenty of extra fluid to bleed those babies once your done with the install.
Yes it is! And, be VERY careful to protect the paint when you handling an open bottle of brake fluid around the car. It's one of the best paint strippers I've ever seen!

One other thing, install the stainless line to the hard line on the car before the fitting on the brake caliper. By the time you get the brake caliper fitting tight the line will have filled with some fluid and you will have less air in the line.
Id wear some rubber gloves too, that stuff is pretty harsh to your hands.

Thanks for all the tips. The installation went well. I did make a little mess. I was catching the fluid dribbling from the calipers into a soup can. When I tried to pick it up wearing latex gloves with a little coating of brake fluid on, the can just slipped out of my grip. Brake fluid on latex gloves make things very slippery. I didn't get fluid on any paint except on the brackets.
Only problem was that the clips for holding the top of the line to the brackets were very loose. I had to use the old clips. Helms specifically states to use new ones, so I may try to get some Honda clips.
