^^^^ Porsche quality are top notch..... cant compare Porsche resources and R&D with a shop / small company, I do not said that there is not a good brand but no many can claim same of better quality than Porsche Ti retainers

Earl Laskey pointed this out to me when we were discussing my engine build. I dont understand what you mean by loose fit? When you install the valve spring and retainer you have to pry down the valve spring with a whole lotta force and quickly get the little half moon things in there. How could it fit loose? Anyways.. My brothers h22 has been running for about 60k+ miles with his titanium retainers and skunk2 stage 2 cams. We took the head apart not to long ago to replace the valves after one had been bent from the timing belt snapping. None of the retainers had any defects and they where reinstalled with high compression valves.

Not loose on the keepers. When they say loose fit, they are talking about the round step on the bottom of the retainer that fits into the spring. Loose would be the side to side movement before installing. Which leads to walking, and more galling than ones with a snug fit.
