Why would the Honda S2000 sensors require a reset/programming? If they are all compatible Honda spec units?
because the way it works is that that sensors are matched with the tpms unit. They don’t recognize new sensors only what was programmed into the unit. So if you swap the unit, it only remembers the last set of sensors that were programmed into rhe tpms unit. Same as if you were to just replace a sensor.

Ahhh, I'm on the west side of CT so it would be a couple of hours each way. Very much appreciate the offer, but I'll find a local shop

If you have Discount Tire there, they'll program your new TPMS for free. A lot of tire shop will do it for you...even Walmart can.

What is the best tool at a decent price? Do we have to plug into the OBD port?

I could be replacing my wheels with an aftermarket set soon. Is it best to order a new set of TPMS sensors and have them programmed and fitted to the aftermarket wheels, or simply take them off the OEM wheels and install them on the new wheels and be done with it? Trying to save money, but I am trying to avoid damage to the OEM wheels that had been recently refurbished at the dealer . . .

The TPMS units are just a fancy valve stem, had a couple go bad on my truck, Dodge wanted $260 each to replace them, my local little repair shop did them for $69 a piece!

Would this tool work on programming unit and sensors, if required?

Anyone exchange the TPMS unit out of their S2000? Does it involve much dashboard removal

Thanks!
