I'm buying my second S2k This weekend, I'm anal and scared i'm going to get the wrong fluid.

Can someone link me to the GM syncromesh friction modified(heard this is great for grinds)

and

The preferred diff fluid.

Also how much do i need of each

 

I personally like to use Honda MTF in the trans and Amsoil 75w-110 in the diff.

 

Is there a number or something associated with the Honda MTF i know the wrong ones can trash your trans.

I also hear a lot of ppl like the GM one to stop gear grind.

lol i heard there were variations?? last time (years ago) i remember reading Honda dealerships were giving ppl wrong fluids?? Give me a break I haven't had an S for 3 years lol

 

Its possible that dealerships were giving the wrong fluids, as there are many many stupid people out there...but just ask for Manual Transmission Fluid. Comes in a grey bottle with a green label. Also, I agree with fernando on the diff fluid viscosity and preference of Taylor Swift. I have Mobil 1, but I doubt you'll notice a difference. Just dont totally skimp out.

 

well technically there are honda mtf, mtf 2 and mtf 3 world wide. your probably confusing it with some dealers using crv diff fluid for the s2000...wrong stuff.
