Default Trans. Help Needed!

So over the last couple of months in cold weather the tranny can get sticky at times. Especially first gear. Last night the car was used without incident. Parked in the garage overnight, and this morning when I started it I could not get it into any gear. I let the car warm up in the garage. I was able to muscle it into 1st. So I pushed it down the drive and drove away. Shifting was a little sticky, but I could get it into gears. At stop and put back into 1st there is a clunk coming from the back of the car. OH! And it still won't go into reverse. I can turn the car off and put into reverse no problem, restart the car and drive in reverse. The clutch pedal is a little off also..... The point in the travel where it catches has changed. It catches a lot sooner than yesterday. I don't think i left anything out. Please help.... This is my only car. '01 w 121,000 on it.

Hey, just got your PM!

hope its not too late.

Have you checked your reservoir? Its the little black cap on the driver side all the way in the back. Pop the cap open and look inside. Im going to bet that its eithier BLACK or near empty. The level is written on the side and its a bit hard to read. If its empty, youre going to have to bleed the clutch after you fill it up, theres probably a good DIY somewhere, floating around..PM me back if you have probs finding them btw.
If its BLACK, youre going to have to flush the fluid, another DIY for that as well.

Have you ever changed the transmission fluid also? If you havent, you should check that as well.

PM me if you have more q's cuz I might not see you replying!

good luck.

ps, if moneys no object Id say:

Trans fluid flush/change to Redline MTL
Clutch Fluid Flush

check the master and slave cylinders, if they're leaking badly change them.

My 01 is in need of a new master/slave cyl, and I just did a trans fluid flush.
