I have 05 s2k that has about 75k miles on, Just changed my clutch like 5k miles ago to exxedy clutch.
Now i notice a lot of whining noise when letting gas go and staying in gear especilly in lower gears I hear a lots of whinning noise. it sounds like throwout bearing Today i drove and when i was driving like 35 miles an hour I put in first gear and just held the clutch in while car was slowing dowd i heard this loud whinning noise
its really loud in first gear, 2nd 3rd etc not so loud but can still be heard
any ideas what could this be , i changed my tranny oil 3 months ago and just changed it again 1 week ago. so its not oil.
could this be that my tranny is going out or bad throwout bearing in clutch.

 

Sounds like its not a throwout bearing. If u push the clutch pedal in n the noise stops then its the throwout bearing. If the noise is still there while the clutch pedal is press then its ur input shaft bearing.

 

not true. if you push the pedal in and you hear a noise, it's the throw out bearing. if you press the pedal, then input shaft stops spinning and noise should be gone..


to the OP, dump question but are you hearing clutch buzz?

 

I hear clutch buzz as well when I just idle i can hear a noise from tranny when press clutch it goes away.
but this noise is diff from what i just told you ^
Its whinning noise Only in first gear if i am going 40 mph then just switch form 4th to first and jsut hold clutch in dont engauge it i hear it whinning loud,
Like track cars do when they hava some crazy tranny but as loud.
