Hello Everybody I have a 06 S-2000 and when you close the trunk the latch locks but the trunk lid does not pull down tight. Is there a motor in the trunk latch that pulls the trunk down tight or do I just need to replace the entire latch assembly.

no motor pull. you can adjust the latch to close tighter, though. just a couple screws

 

2 or 3 10mm screws on the latch itself plus you might need to re-adjust the rubber stoppers.

 

no motor, has the vehicle been in any accidents?

 

No accidents just noticed that the trunk does not go all the way down when latched. I will look for the adjustment screws mentioned earlier.

Fixed it, I was trying to adjust the latch lock itself and did not think to try the part that is attached to the body (doh) anyway did that and it is fine now. Some things are just to easy
