Default Trying to pass smog...

So I picked up my S2k back in March of 2016 know full well it was going to be a project car. Long story short to today have not had much time to put into it or to get to know the ins and outs of it. I have to sell her soon but can't pass smog because of the no carb sticker. Ok cool bought a K&N off offer up, went to start install then quickly realized the hoses that needed to be attached are missing. Where I'm stuck right now is where the bottom opening of the intake tube plugs into..the instruction says to plug it into the stock air injection pump but that is no where in sight.

And also I can have an open breather or "mini" filter as the guy called it. I traced back to behind the intake manifold and was like " wth?"

Does someone here have some pics of this intake on their S2K so I can kind of see what I need to replace or reorder??? Much thanks!

Yeah you bought a bit of a project alright. Looks like it was stripped of all its emissions related stuff. The manifold looks like modified stock. Not sure why they have a breather set up underneath it. That's typically where the coolant is routed through for the IAC valve. The hose you need for the intake tube is part of the secondary injection system and comes off the air pump that is supposed to be located behind the drivers side wheel in the front bumper. Based on what i'm seeing so far I wouldn't be surprised if that pump was missing. When you go FI and have to run an aftermarket EMS, these items are essentially dead weight and usually get removed at some point.

That said if you happen to need an air injection pump/assy for an 00-05 I do have one, and may have some other related parts, id have to get a list from you and take a look through my stuff. Feel free to PM me if you need something.

Much thanks Junky, went through the engine a bit and you're right, the pump is missing, and I see remnants of where an intercooler would have been. Went under the dash and there it was; Hondata EMS. I'll do a bit more digging and see what else I would need to get this going...Much thanks again.

Hard to tell but that mini filter is probably routed to the idle air control valve.
Normally that would be routed inside the manifold and through the stock throttle body, since your manifold has been heavily modified that route is most likely welded off.
Unless you got a CEL or another reason to get a air pump installed just forget about that.
Replace that mini filter and hose to some more discreet black rubber hose and route it to the open port on your intake tube, should make it look much more stockish

Could you get more or better pics on that ?? hose in the last picture.

You might be right Flanders; the more I dig into this I might just have to properly route and plug all the miscellaneous hose so there's no vacuum leaks. Oddly enough no CEL.
If anyone is wondering why I pick up this S2k in the first and feel like reading my old fb post--->

It was this one that I tried to figure out, but now looking closer it seems it's just capped off with a bolt inside.

That should probably be connected to the fuel purge control valve, there is another connection on top of the manifold and in your case that one is also capped off.
Check #8 in the diagram in this link https://www.hondapartsnow.com/parts-...ing.html?PNC=8
Here is the valve that it goes to in the other end https://www.hondapartsnow.com/parts-...lve.html?PNC=7

I would just go and buy a stock non modded intake manifold from eBay and install it. They cost next to nothing. They put the air pump and all the emission crap back on. Or do what all California car people do and just get an illegal smog.
