Without knowing the mileage on your car, some of the following are guesses.

You really don't "tune" this engine. You do maintenance on it in hopes of bringing back the original performance.
-air filter
-injector cleaner
-new spark plugs, even though the stock ones are good for well over 100K.
-clean area at the throttle body
-check PCV valve and replace as necessary
-Valve adjustment

You might want to check the maintenance schedule to see all the things your car needs at the mileage and age it's at.

Check/flush/change fluids: tranny, clutch, brake, diff, coolant, and of course windshield washer fluid. Micron cabin filter. All depends on mileage. Look in the owners manual in the maint. section, it should all be there.

Thanks for the input, the problem is that the car didn't come with a manual.
The vehicle just hit 65,000 miles I don't know what the previous owner did or didn't do.
I am replacing the sparkplugs, sparkplug seals, and the valve cover gasket because the car came up with a check engine light. The light says it is cylinder misfires and there is oil in the spark plug housing.

Any other advice for this?? Thanks

Most S2000 will have oil in the spark plug well. Don't let this be the indicator of anything wrong. A misfire code will not be cured by doing all the maintenance stuff. It can be anything from a bad spark plug, bad coil pack, bad injector, bad ECU. You're going to have to diagnose all of these to find a fix. Maintenance is always a good thing but in this case, I doubt it will be the answer.
You should have indicated why you wanted to do a tune up in the first place. This could have eliminated some of the "beating around bush".

Thanks xviper, do you think my VAFC II would have anything to do with it.

Yes.

ps. For future reference, when you ask a question, you should state all the details right from the beginning, so that readers can better assess their response. You went from asking about a "tune up" it being a second hand car, to indicating that you have a CEL that points toward misfires and now to the fact that you have a VAFC. Leaving stuff like this out and sprinkling your subsequent posts with new information little by little makes diagnosis extremely hard and any responses given may not pertain as a result of the new info. Additional, any future questions will be suspect as you will have established a history of leaving vital information out.

I understand I will be sure to list all details next time. I am new to this and am trying to get the hang of how this works. Sorry for the confusion.
