Well, Wisconsin S2k closed my thread on this and linked me to this one, so I'm assuming that means he wants me to merge them (as I've previously posted in this thread, so I obviously knew it was here and had read it). Anyway this is what I had posted (none are under hood changes):

As Photodavo, turbolane and myself dis-assembled my '06 on Saturday for the stereo install, there are a few minor changes we noticed.

These changers were simple observations by David and Lane, and in rough comparison to their vehicles (both '02's I think).

- Passenger Seat has plastic covers on the front bolts (you can't see the bolts themselves). You need no tools to remove the covers (just pull up gently).
- Passenger side seatbelt is bolted to the seat itself. The driver's side remains bolted to the car. The seatbelt bolt is 14mm, same as the rear seat bolts.
- The "Entry Trim Pieces" (the ones with the s2000 plaque) have additional clips on the ends.
- The radio door area is slightly different. There is not a smaller trim piece under the door that follows the contour of the tranny tunnel.
- The door panels are different in design appearance
- The leather on the console goes all the way behind the seat to just past the middle of the back panel.
- The hooks that storage bags can be attached to are now only present on the driver's side. The passenger side has flat blanks where the hooks would be.
- Radio is now made by Clarion
- Speakers are difinately updated. They are not paper, and feature a rubber surround. They appear to be Pioneers based on the color of the speaker (just a guess, they were not labeled at all).
- Passenger seat has two wires connecting it to the "Car", but there is now a small box with two more plugs underneath. Presumably this is the weight sensor for the airbags.

That's all that I can recall was mentioned. Again, these were just quick differences noticed by owners of older cars. I have no idea if these are all already known or not. But figured I'd share in the interest of having complete information.

I don't think you can use the VAFC-II with the MY06. I can state for a fact that you can't use the AEM EMS.
Have we gotten any more info in this, and if its true or not? Can damage happen if it doesn't work? I have mine and my Frog harness, so if no damage will happen, I can plug it in and see at least. Just don't want to break anything.

Hi this is my first post,i'm planning to either purchase a used 05 S or a new 06. I have a question about the traction control issue, is there a way you can turn that off and on with a push of a button like on a bmw?

The button is to the right of the Steering Wheel (where the defroster switch used to be), you hold it for about two seconds and the light on the dash wil indicated its deactivated. Press it again (for any length of time) and it turns back on.

I cannot say with any absolute certainty. Be a ginny pig and try it out.

The airbags won't function properly without the OEM seat rails.

As far as the PCM's SSD mode goes, don't unplug the car's computer untill at least 15 minutes has passed since you turned the ignition off.
Wow, you mean honda will add a "feature" to the car that can render is useless just because the PCM was removed to early That really is progress. Then again, the fine print would say you weren't supposed to remove it anyways

Had a chance to look over one last night. Haven't had a chance to work on one yet, but the only thing I observed that hasn't been said is the fire shroud on the underside of the hood has changed. The mold is different of course b/c of the component layout underneath, but the material has been changed to a more velvety feeling material. Really sexy and all

Plus I got to see that the intake filter is actually light blue. I wonder if the material has changed altogether or just the dye.

Indeed. It seems that it is Honda's desire to make the S a more (gag!) commuter-freindly car and thereby broaden its appeal.
PRECISELY why I got an 03. Test driving the 06, it just didn't seem to have the "edge" of earlier models.
