A lot of things are still compatible (i.e., same engine, brakes, rear diff, etc.).
Same engine yes....but everything around it has seemed to change enough to make it hard for us to add things shuch as turbo's, intake's, strut bar's...etc. I dunno about anyone else am not due for a block or head swap anytime soon...

Are the suspension components diff in an way??? I hope the VSA didnt jack that up too...

I understand where you are coming from. It is very frustrating. To make matters worse, most manufacturers probably WON'T make new parts for the MY06 because the design will probably only be around for 1-2 years (MY06 and possibly MY07). The demand simply won't be there.

Concerning the suspension, I don't know yet. I am going to be buying some Koni Yellows and Ground Controls...we'll see if there are any fitment issues.

You seem to be the pioneer for allota this stuff. Thanks for posting your experiences!
Well, I have had my S2000 for just over 2 months now and I have done a fair amount of mods to it. I'd have it boosted right now if I could.

not good. i left a message with the vendor i purchased from to see if they have heard of any fitment issues on the '06's. i will post up if i get a reply.

any pictures of the fitment on yours might help diagnose the problem. take a few and post up if you can. if you don't have a picture host site, email the pics to me and i can host them.
i got an email reply from my vendor, he has not heard of any fitment issues. he is going to contact Comptech. he requested a link to this thread, which i sent him.

^^^^ Thanks for the help RadioZero. I'll wait till you hear back from him before I attempt it again. If he says it should fit, I'll try it again and snap some pics if it doesn't work.

got the following email reply from JP @ Go Fast Labs, quoting his email to me:

"Hi Matt,

I've confirmed with Comptech that the shock tower bar will not fit the 2006 cars. Of course I had no idea or there would have been an indicaction of that fact on the website. I've since added that it fits model years 2000-2005.

They say they're working on 2006+ versions of a few of their products including the shock tower bar, the cold air intake, and the rear lower tie bar. No firm ETA on those.

Thanks,

J.P.

*sigh* I guess I'll have to return this one then.

I wonder what else I got that won't work. Can anyone confirm the Defi gauges and VAFC-II does work on the '06?

I don't think you can use the VAFC-II with the MY06. I can state for a fact that you can't use the AEM EMS.

'06 undercarriage and exhaust tunnel is slightly different. Can someone take pics of both and compare?
