This question gets asked once every few days. Since I see you've been here only 16 days, I'll tell you and you can tell the next person who asks. This engine will not VTEC until the temp gets up to operating which is 3 bars on the temp guage. It does it so you don't hurt the engine. Once it's warmed up, the oil temp and flow characteristics is such that it will do its job as intended.

Did your dealer say anything about 600 miles before vtec?

And yet another conscientious "owner", which BTW, you can change from "enthusiast" if you go to the "edit profile" section and enter your VIN# in the appropriate slot. You'll then be able to post pics to show us your new car.
