...and don't leave your socket on the crank bolt before you start the car again. make sure you've removed it. check it twice. no, i mean it.

I read Robinette's DIY and kept telling myself over and over and over during the valve adjustment process "dont forget...dont forget... dont forget..." and i completely forgot and had my hand on the start button clutch depressed and went WAITTTTTTTTT.... F^&********* I ALMOST FORGOT!!! haha, luckily I caught myself at the LAST second!

I don't even want to know what starting the car would have sounded like with it still on lol.
If you use a ratchet and socket, it just sounds like the ratcheting mechanism spinning real fast, the ratchet itself might not move given the direction you use to adjust the motor and the direction the motor turns once running. A non-ratcheting tool could cause some serious damage though, lol.

Is there an actual torque value we should use when tightening down the nuts after making the adjustment? ? I didnt see it listed anywhere ....I would assume 10ft\lbs would be good since its a small nut but I am wondering if mine came out of spec because it loosened? ?

Ah, yea that makes sense. The crank is going to turn the same direction you turn it with the ratchet but since the crank is exerting the force on the ratchet, the force is the other direction on the ratchet so it wouldn't go quite as nuts

Still wouldn't be fun haha

im doing mine right now.
I havent drove the car for over a month. So after i got it started again(battery had died and i had the CEL b4 i parked it last for misfire on 2 and 3 and a random/multiple misfire) it idled for about 10 min and the CEL hadnt come back on during that time which is where I notice it seems to pop on. It had been coming on if I sat at a light too long and then sometimes it would go off on its own after a few miles. Figure it couldnt hurt to do one,....although I am leaning to a bad injector because I started having these CEL's last year AFTER I ran some Redline Fuel injector cleaner. ......but I did do a valve adjustment at that time and it didnt come back on until this time so maybe it was coincidence it popped on at the same time I used that Redline stuff.
