Valve adjustment?

The only reason I have a shock tower bar is for something to lean on when I am working on the engine.
I just put blue tape over the edges of the heat shield so I don't cut my arms and work around it.

butcher's hands wouldn't help neither
i can't justisfy to buy a tool like that, after couple of valve adjustment job you can feel how much room to spare and torque it down with a torque wrench.
maybe it will not 100% dead on on the first try but after couple of valve adjustment jobs, you can get it down pretty good.
I torque down all the nuts also, i don't even use a screw driver to hold it down.
