valve adjustment help
basically, i overtorqued the nut on one of the adjuster screws and sheared off the head of the screw. now the bottom half of the adjuster screw is sitting flush with the rocker arm. I know that this screw is mushroomed on the bottom, so i won't be able to just back it out from the rocker arm - will i have to remove the cam and pull out the rocker arm assembly to get to this screw? or is there a simpler way to get to this screw? thanks for any help you can offer. i'm so frustrated with myself for doing this and im dying to get back in my car.
No torque wrench = broken honda's.
You may be really F'd. I can't find just rocker arms on Majestic Honda's web site. I may be looking in the wrong place though so, don't go crazy. On the bright side, a new head's only $1300 which is $400 cheaper than the Type-R head I once had to buy.

To answer your question, it looks like the cams and rocker assemblies need to come off to get at that screw. Maybe you can find someone with an old head who has an adjuster to replace the broken one.

that's exactly the part i messed up. i already ordered it through my local dealer for $3.xx.
so i do have to remove the cams to get to the screw... damn, i was hoping i wouldn't have to go through that trouble. but why will i need to remove the rocker arm assembly? won't removing the cams give enough room to open the rocker arm enough to replace the screw?
