If you don't mind what did the labor run for replacing the retainers and keepers? How long did it take to get done?

It does not make anymore noise than before. Runs and sounds as it did before

I purchased ap2 valve cotters (keepers) for $91, ap2 retainers for $55, and a headgasket for $64 from Honda.

Installation was approximately $700. My car could have been completed in two days, but the shop I took it to sent my head to another shop to have the retainers and valve cotters installed. It unfortunately took the other shop three days before they even began work on it.

All in all, I am very satisfied with the work that was performed on it

Keep in mine there in no need to pull the head. This can be done on the car for WAY less than 700.

Unfortunately, my guy didn't feel comfortable doing this, for fear of dropping a valve into the cylinder.

Thanks billman, I appreciate all the info you have provided me in the past month regarding this subject, and by helping me to make an informed decision as to which route to take as far as replacement parts.

Is there a more detailed guide anywhere to actually performing the service with the head on the car?

I am interested in tackling the project, but would like some more detailed information.

Thanks
