VErsion 2 Toda cams
StreetAngel,
Apa kabar orang Brunei, saya orang Sabah.....
But anyway, If you don't plan to go FI I would definitely go with TODA since they are the only people that seem to be making performance cam for the S right now..... FYI there are several spec's available...start here www.todaracing.com and decide which one is best for you. I believe that the Spoon cams do not exist.... at least not in the US market....please let us know if otherwise.
thanks

StreetAngel, I would be careful of using the Spoon Head Gasket with the Toda Cams. If memory serves me right they don't recommend it. I'm not sure the polished valves will get you much and you should consider going a different way with your exhaust, header, intake. They aren't the best parts for the s2000. If you are having problems getting parts, let me know, I can source them for you as well. We do quite a lot of international orders.
Beroznikmal - Kabar baik....orang Sabah in the States? Resident there? Spoon cams are available through order here. Well that's what my tuning shop told me...
Turbopwr - Any reasons why the current set-up is not ideal? I tailored mine according to one of the S2000's shown in the Hyper Rev magazine (S2000 tuning bible). Maybe you could point to some threads which tells the story?
Btw, there's also a small company in Japan which makes cams, probably similar to Toda, its called TommyYoshi Racing. I saw it in a Hongkong magazine, dynoed at 300ps on the flywheel. I haven't managed to resource any info abt the company on the web though.

StreetAngel,
300 HP at flywheel seems to be very high...... I'm sure they did much more than just the cams and even then 300 seems too high.
As for what Turbo said, I had initially asked this question to TODA when I first got the cams. Because the design of the version 2 cams (which are now spec A) were done with the stock head gasket, they were not willing to say if the thinner head gasket would work.
But, if you check out the TODA web page, you will see that the difference in lift between spec A and B is minimal and even with that, TODA requires their piston kit to allow additional valve clearance.
In addition, I would definitely go with a stand alone computer.
Good luck.

Right you are s2000_europe....
I emailed toda a while back regarding the JDM headgasket, and they said there would be no problem whatsoever, just to make sure there is clearence before starting the car up ( a common safty clause on their part)... while compression raises only little, it should still make a difference...

no cam gears. the amount of money spent tuning the things would be outrageous, due to the fact that we can not cut away part of the valve cover for easy tuning... Untill I'm looking to make more substantial amounts of power, I'm holding off on them. I will most definately let everyone know how it goes...
