Default Vibration in 3rd gear VTEC, seeking help.

Hey all.

First and second gear feel fine, however, as soon as I hit the power band in 3rd gear my car vibrates quit a lot. It is hard to pin point where the vibration is coming from.

I don't use 3rd gear very often as I am then breaking the national speed limit, however I would rather it not be there as I have my first track day at Winton in 2 months.

It is fine until 6000RPM but as soon as it goes into VTEC the vibration is there all the way to 9K.

What could this be? I doubt it is my diff as I had the mounts replaced recently and my diff is fine. Could it be the Syncros in my gearbox? Has anyone else had this problem?

I really hope I don't have to buy another gearbox.

Please help, thanks.

Is you car lowered?

Mine did it too, but not at specific gear it was on hard acceleration. So, mine is a 2001 and I have eibach sport springs and I fixed with the half shaft spacers. As soon as I installed, went for a joy ride and problem solved, so far 20K miles later, the problem has not come back.

Yeah mate it's lowered on Buddy Club N+ coilovers. When I had these installed I had vibration in every gear as I had torn diff mounts and bushes but I replaced all them and it was fine, so I doubt that it being lowered it a problem. It only does it in 3rd gear VTEC, it isn't noticeable in anything before and there aren't many palces that I can go far beyond.

It's my tail shaft, out of balance - for anyone who may be having a similar issue, check that.
