sorry for the double post, but i got so excited to answer a question i forgot to contribute to the topic.

We bought our s2000 with 2400 miles, and back then, I remember vtec really kicking in, and the sound. (I'll never forget the sound) Nowadays, with ~19,000 miles, the kick is hardly noticable at all. When I started noticing that the kick wasn't there, I was worried for a while, but then I realized that I had just gotten used to it. The sound was still there, and the car was still hella fast, so I figured it was still working, and now I don't worry anymore. So my diagnosis is that you're just getting used to the feeling...

I really hope that turns out to be the case because...

1. There won't be anything wrong with your car and you'll be able to vtec off into the sunset...

and...

2. That means I'd be right, and that would mean my answer to solved problem ratio would be 1 to 1, and then I could retire batting a 1.000!!! My average would be better than UL's!!! (Just barely though)

Happy motoring!

(It's late, I'm sorry)

He must have the "Limited Edition" that we've been hearing about.
