Part number for replacement: 15810-PCX-A03

You could probably just sand and paint or polish. Another option would be a VTEC solenoid cover.

Leave it alone, the rust is cosmetic. If you insist just clean and paint it or cover it. No aftermarket

Many/most of them are rusted -- just the way the materials on that part are.

As a new owner, you should religiously keep an eye on oil levels (every gas-fill-up) -- there's a proper way to read the dipstick and a false way to read the dipstick. I'd also do a baseline fluids flush after you get home, as well as swap out the plugs (and make sure they're properly torqued -- 24ft-lb), as well as inspect the valve retainers and do a valve adjustment.

After that, the car is bulletproof, as long as you keep an eye on the oil levels.

Take some time and search through the forums. You will discover a lot of great info on new ownership. There are some things that will surprise you but it all leads to building a knowledge base about this car and how really great the design and engineering are of the beast.

Rust is what you get when the car is not from the west coast/southwest desert area.

check if there is any oil leaks coming from there, I just replaced the top and bottom gaskets on mine. Ballade sports sells both for $45 https://www.balladesports.com/produc...c-gasket-combo
