Not necessarily related, but since you have an '06 ... If u get to the point when the car loses smoothness at partial throttle, but functions fine under full throttle ... And goes down the highway fine in cruise control, but won't stay steady with your foot on the gas ... It's your pedal position sensor ... Mine finally threw a code after several annoying months of jerky cruising... the dealership is worthless without a precious CEL to read, even though I suspected it and mentioned it to them ... (Applies to '06 - '09 DBW cars). Ultimate test is how does it cruise along in cruise control vs steady foot.

That tip actually may be extremely helpful.... I find myself speeding in this car much more the the old one (un-intentionally) and .... the throttle can be erratic at times.... how much is this magical sensor?
