IF you can answer that you can correct yourself

Catch Tank catches the oil and moisture in the blow-by gas that causes carbon and sludge build-up in the intake system and the engine. It keeps the engine clean even under hard driving conditions. It is also an excellent engine dress up item with polished stainless finish.

You obviously don't own any type of FI

some of that bowby gas can be emitted from the BOV.
As I said some purists believe that this "stuff" can be flamable in certain condition.

BTW I have both Vortech and oil catch can....it's just not fully installed yet

how come the comptech doesnt utilize a BOV?

now im debating which one,

the vortech apparently taps an oil line
but the comptech has its own oil

the vortech has a BOV
comtech doesnt

vortech has the aftercooler
comptech is coming out with an intercooler

im not sure if my oil statement was correct however.

so what are the pros and cons, and dont say search. i wanna know why you vortech guys chose that over the comptech.

Jeremy, you are boosting tooooo much

You better use Loctite lock nut next time.
BTW I am going to use this stuff for all of my bolts with the SC and also with the oil pan tap.

PS I will look up the size of the bolt for you tonight

Vortech guy here. I purchased a 2001 S2K with a polished Vortech S/C setup. Looks and runs great. The previous owner told me that the boost is set between 5 and 6 psi. Is there a safe way to get that up to 7-8 psi?

Could you also email replies until I get roilling with the forum?

Thanks in advance!

The stock Vortech kit boosts at 7-8 psi MAX. Don't know how you could "set" it to 5-6 psi w/out swapping out the stock pulley.
