Hi everyone,I was just wondering if anyone has ever experienced hearing a weird almost rod knock sound coming from the engine apon sartre up when cold.The noise goes away and seems to be coming from up top and not the bottom end,It goes away and was driving me nuts.Just curious as to what you guys think,I think I'm just being paranoid,And I don't think it's the TCT whatsoever ever,I have a gen 3 from billman installed.By the way I highly recommend that up grade.

 

Pretty sure that's normal. My '05 does it, it is a high compression, high output engine.

 

When was the last time you had a valve adjustment?

 

that should be normal. i have an 05 and redid the top block with brand new parts and got it adjust as well. it makes a very tiny knocking noise and goes away once the engine is warmed up. if it doesn't go away than you might want to adjust your valves or just get it check.
