'03 MY. I notice when idling kind of like a whirring sound. Almost like a turbo whistling kinda sound. Seems to be coming from trans area but not sure. Clutch engaged/disengaged doesnt seem to make a difference. Sounds like a bearing, probably...ideas?

 

hmm i got the same problem as you. do you hear/feel any clunk or click when going through gears? especially on first? My mechanic told me that my trans is either gone or low on fluid. I will do fluid change and see if that helps.

 

hmm...well I'll be putting it on a lift soon so I'll be sure to top off the fluid. I doubt the trans is gone becuase it works fine and only has 34k miles on it. I do hear clicking but nothing that I would consider abnormal...
