Default Weird Noise at idle

Hey everyone,

I’ve noticed this noise on my s2k (see video link below). The car hadn’t been driven for 2 weeks due to me being on holiday. The noise started after the engine being on for around 2-3 mins. As seen in the video, the noise stopped whilst revving the engine but came back after. I noticed the noise whilst sat in the car with the bonnet (hood) down.

People on Reddit suggest it may be the TCT, wanted to come to you guys for further clarification as it isn’t the typical ‘playing card in spokes’ sound.

Its a 2005 ap1 on 60k miles
Last service was about 2k miles ago

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks
Bayley

take serpentine belt off and start without belt almost sounds like a bad pully if noise goes away with no belt then its in one of the pulleys just dont run it for more than a minute without belt
