weird noise from the rear,! MUST SEE! PLEASE!
I'll get striaght to the point. 3 weeks ago I hear a squeaking sort of noise in the rear left around the tire.
When driving and slowing down in neutral. The noise gets louder. Very wweird noise , can't explain.
I take it to not one, not two, but 3 shops and nobody knows what it is?!
each shop lifted me up and while the mechanic was under the car I was driving it at about 50 mph as he was inspeccting from under. There was no noise made on the lift.
The car doesn't make noise when the car is lifted but only when its on the ground.
We though it might be differential fluids so we changed it but wasn't that. They say its not the wheel bearing or hub.
Can anyone help me out at all?! Thanks for reading maybe if you have any suggestions thanks!

hmmm i have just changed to suspension to coilovers.... they said it wasnt the wheel bearing..
If you don't pre-load the suspension when you tighten the coilover, you can cause the bushing to bind. This creates some odd sounds when you drive around corners at some speeds.

This may or may not be related to your problem.
This summer, I started getting a "rusty gatehinge" or "squeeky bedspring" squeek when slowing down. In general, if I accellerated at whatever speed, it stopped. If coasting or braking, it squeeked. I couldn't make it squeek with the rear wheels up in the air. It only did it when the car was driving the rear wheels, even slightly.
Long story short: I tightened the left rear axle nut a bit and it went away for a day or two. After it came back, I used Blue Loctite and tightened it even tighter. No more squeeks. You don't even have to jack the car up to check or tighten the nut: just remove the center cap from the wheel.
When I looked at the nut the first time, I could tell that it had loosened a bit: the peened area was no longer centered in the slot in the axle.
In my admittedly limited experience, a wheel bearing is a low-pitched rumble, not a high-pitched sound that I would describe as a squeek.
