i have just over 100k miles on my car and i normally burn through a little over a qt and a half btw 3k mile oil changes! I changed my oil about 3 weeks ago and took off my catch can. All i did was drive back and fourth to work pretty much and when i checked my oil yesturday it had burned like almost 3 qts! Anyone have any idea what could of caused this! Catch can? pcv? any help would be great? thanks fellas

 

Changing the pcv is cheap and is always a good idea. Past that I would look for obvious leaks or run compression and leak down checks.

 

Your exhaust tips must look black as hell and the rear bumper too.
The car was probably creating a smoke screen.

Did you put enough in when you changed it?
