No. Even if you removed every trace of an intake, header, or exhaust on your car, even the OEM ones, and left a nekkid engine sitting in your engine bay, you wouldn't cause compression leaks or misfires.

Well, you'd cause quite a lot of damage, with the exhaust ports venting what basically amounts to fire right out the side of the engine, but, strictly speaking, you wouldn't have compression leaks or misfires.

HOWEVER

Most dealerships will assume that any sign of aftermarket parts is a sign of untold amounts of additional, unseen tampering with the engine and thus frees them from the responsibilities of warranties and extended warranties.

(which is what I'm assuming prompted the question)

how much of a bill am I looking at if all cylinders are misfiring and no compression in cylinder #4? (assuming the dealership will void my warranty since I have mods?)

complete shortblock...i'd say anywhere from 1.5k to 2k...you scuffed your cylinder wall and your entire lower engine is going to have to be replaced...well..if you only get a shortblock and mount your head on it you could probably go from there for about a grand including labor...still your engine is f'ed bro...

edit...honestly it could be your timing got screwed up or something with the head...so don't take my answer as thats exactly what it is but thats my guess...do a search for #4 cylinder failure...

honestly you better get those mod's off as fast as possible..seriously if my car ever blew up i'd get it towed to my house before the dealership..get the tp off and then get it towed to the stealership...don't give them a chance to void your warranty for crap that isn't gonna cause what happened.
