Most o-rings are built to take abuse. All of our kits here at the shop can handle a very wide range of temperatures and greases, and they didn't cost much.

Loosen the bolt just enough to expose the o-ring, NO FURTHER.

change o-ring, oil the o-ring, torque to spec.
