if anyone knows this off hand it would be great. i dont have my car here, so i cant just look under and get it. im rebuilding my tranny this weekend and i cant order parts without knowing the code. thanks

 

Have you tought about just buying a used one?

 

id much rather just rebuild. that way i know exactly what im getting and it will be all new parts, if i got a used one, it could be another problemed s2k tranny. and the cheapest used tranny i foudn that i would consider buying was 1500 with <10k mile son it. not bad, but i will be able to get the rebuild kit, act clutch, and fidanza flywheel for about that same price.

 

Didn't they signifigantly change the syncros in the '04+ models? If so, can you rebuild an AP1 tranny with the updated equipment? I would think you can, and if so, mebbe you should look into getting some parts from the AP2 tranny.

 

they used carbon fiber syncros in the 2004 model vs. brass in the ap1.

i would imagine that you could use the updated parts but don't buy them based off that.
