I have this weird clicking noise and it sounds like its coming from the rear of the car I can hear it when music is off and I'm in 1st gear slowly taking off and I hear it as soon as clutch grabs and I the car starts to move. what is that? Help!

 

Probably CV joint...if you search this forum for CV joint, I am sure you will get lots of threads or maybe someone had it bookmarked and will post here for you.

 

I had it two diff. times

1st- Brake dust sheild moving and clicking calipar.

2nd- Half shaft nut was loose.

does the clicking noise only occur when you are taking off?

 

I had the same sound in reverse and in 1st gear its the rear axle bolts needs retighten.... Its a TSB and now I dont hear the sound anymore...

 

Yes, lunacy it does click when I'm taking off! what do you think it is?

They are two in the same users, and user accounts. I know he had a big write up about the CV joint issue.
