Default What's the right vacuum line to run.....

Like the title states, im trying to use seafoam on the s2k, save the flames, it has worked for me in the past in a few other cars.

For those of you who ran in through the intake manifold what line did you use to introduce it into the system, I technical name won't help me, although a diagram or a specific location would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance....

I'd like to do this before work in an hour so quickness would be awesome!

its the vaccum hose thats connected to the brake booster. cant find any pics at the moment

its should be fairly easy to see. there is a hose that goes from the brake booster to the intake manifold. take the connection off of the brake booster and pour in.

I used seafoam in the s2k, I only put it in the gas tank tho. I didnt do any other methods.

Brake booster for sure. Big black round thing on driver side, connected to the brake master cylinder. Theres a hose that goes to it.

first, warm up car.
Remove hose from booster

1) get a friend to hold the hose closed (or it wont start/idles bad)
2) Start car
3) open a SMALL gap, you should feel/hear suction
4) slowly trickle in seafoam/suck in seafoam mist by itself.

-do not "pour" in seafoam/stick hose into seafoam tank...it will cause your car to hydrolock-

5) After you put in 1/3~ish of the bottle, turn off car.
6) wait 5-10 minutes
7) start up car
8) enjoy the smoke show while driving it decently "hard" to blow out everything
9)change oil + spark plugs. - the oil will have some seafoam in it (thins it out?) and the plugs will be covered in crap.
10) enjoy!

sorry it didnt start at 1...i forgot a few steps

you can use pretty much any manifold vacuum line. whatever is easiest for yo uto get at. I used to use my blow off valve line as it was easily accessible.

Thank you so much guys, especially ikeyballs for that wonderful write up and pic!

I'll be doing this sunday with a fresh oil change and spark plugs, if I can get hosting for the video ill post up the smokeshow...

I dont care what others have said, if anyone in future is considering using seafoam, do it, it has never had a detrimental effect on any of my previous cars, and its a difference you can feel. Usually at idle.

What exactly do you hope to accomplish with this 'Seafoam' treatment?

Clean carbon build up.... Smooth idle, and just preventative maintenance.
