when to change out your clutch?

Default when to change out your clutch?

when and how do you know it's time to change out your clutch? i have 58000 miles on my 02. if you bought a ceritified used from honda, do they change out the clutch before they sell it?

Definitely not

It's hard to say. A clutch can last for 5k miles, or over 100k miles. It all depends on driving habits, and how much the clutch is allowed to slip over it's lifetime. Some signs are:

Slipping

Smell from slipping

High engagement point

I would worry to much, unless you have symptoms

Drive up a relatively steep hill in 5th gear at about 55-65 mph and nail the throttle. If it doesn't slip, or chatter from a standstill, it doesn't need replacing.
