Where is the fuel filter?
searched, couldnt find an answer.. im doing all the reg maintence (who knwos what the prev owner did), and this and the spark plugs are the last things i have to change/clean.. thanks

There is no "real" fuel filter. We have a fuel "sock" that mounts on the end of the pick up on the fuel pump, which is in our gas tank. Honda gives no indication of any kind of service interval for this sock.
I made a specific request to my dealer not to change this on the 54k as I didn't want them damaging the fuel tank cover or softop fixings (which sit above where the fuel pump is located). I don't think they had planned to do this anyway but best to play safe IMO (I guess repair shops are better in the States
).
I actually ordered the replacement set for the fuel filter and it comes in a box w/ a whole replacement cannister. It's made of plastic and installs as indicated on the pump.
The Helms states to replace it when the voltage/ohms drop/rise below a certain level upon testing the pump. The #'s are indicated in the manual and I don't remember them off the top off my head.
