White smoke comes out exhaust
I was just wondering, if when the car is hot it is blowing out white smoke when it is sitting still, does this mean i need new rings? If not is there a reason it smokes? It is when i leave the car idling while its hot for a while...a lot of white smoke comes out the exhaust! I am running inline pro turbo kit.
Thanks

Possibly a seal on your turbocharger. Do you have to add oil? If not, I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Wouldnt white smoke relate to coolant burning?
Coolant does not burn but actually steams. Your exhaust will be white but quickly evaporate or dissapear. Oil, on the other hand will also be white but will linger in the air.

my car had white smoke coming out of the tail pipe in vtec, mechanic tore apart the motor and found a fried piston ring. your turbocharged though so it could be something else.

well...if you suspect the head gasket, you could always do a cylinder leakdown test
if you think ur rings are toast you could do a compression test....and if your numbers on ur compression test are a lower than spec, squirt some oil in it....if it changes then you may have some fried rings.....
but since your boosted...i dunno...i'd go and do both ...only way to be safe
...i dont know if honda has an oil consumption test....i know benz does cuz i just did one at work today...

smell the exhaust, if it has a sweet smell means it's radiator.
Another trick is to check under the oil cap. If there's moisture (white residue) then it's also the head gasket and antifreeze is leaking into the oil.
P.S when you vtec it will smoke a little due to running rich
