White splatter on injector & intake manifold
I'm going to be getting into an S2000 real soon and currently doing my research. I looked at a brand new Suzuka Blue S2000 at the dealership I work for and noticed white splatter on top of the engine. What is the part with the plastic top that sits in the injector rail cover? It has a white coating around it and appears that due to heat it had become liquid and splattered on the intake manifold, injector rail cover and the small hose nearby.
It's a dry leak check spray applied at the plant. All S2k's have it, your pic shows a little more applied than others.
The part in question is the fuel rail pulsation damper, which holds the fuel line to the rail.

Thanks for your answer and description of the part. I had a feeling it was some type of spray to check leakage of the part but not wiped off. Just odd that Honda would leave it like that. Quite noticeable when you open the hood.
