why engine die after vtec
my S has been very stock since I got it for about 2 years now.
I don't know what previous guys did before, and mine burns engine oil a lot.
It burns 2 X of 5X on the stick per about 100miles.
I recently put a krank vents set in my car and it seems help reducing oil consumption, but not completely stop like other ap1.
Also, a week ago I replaced map sensor with new cause I got a CEL.
Ok, now problem is after I shift during 6k~redline from 1st gear to 3rd and stop at stop light oil light comes on first and engine die. I start engine again and no vtec driving gently and stop at stop light then engine die again. One more engine die then no more engine die. oil level is 4X now. temp bar was 3bar, but about 1 or 2 minutes after 3bar.
I don't know what is going on my S. I'm sad
please help me guys..

no, i reset the ecu when i installed it and has been about a week and no cel so far.
no bogging, no hesitation, it was just straight to die at stop light 3 times.... after vtec, but not every vtec though
In gentle driving engine has good idle at stop light

I hope someone else can chime in on this. I'd be concerned about the oil light turning on, and VTEC not engaging. Both those symptoms indicate low oil pressure. Low oil pressure is not good. I remember this thread from a while ago:
Oil Light Flicker
A couple quotes from SlowS2K since there is a lot of junk in the thread:

More likely the 10-7 year old sports car has worn bearing clearances and not enough oil pressure at idle to keep the switch closed.
It has no oil pressure. Stop running it.

I'm not sure if the guy's problem in the link is the similar problem to me. vtec engages though. oil light doesn't come up while driving
if there were not stop light, I would be able to continue driving maybe because engine didn't die right after vtec engages.
I kept driving until stop light shows up.
thank you for the link

it was map sensor problem
i cleaned map sensor channel through the throttle
there were oil build up really bad
they were blocking reading of map sensor
it's all good so far, i made almost 800miles for a week and no problem
i might need oil catch can
