Then you're missing out..

Says who? I never saw a press release?
It's not written down in your manual - it's written in your warranty... as in Honda will not cover any damage to your car caused by ABUSE.
Abuse is loosely defined as any operating condition or action that lies outside what's considered the normal operation of a street legal vehicle on civilian streets, highways etc.

Launching your vehicle is considered abuse.

Nowhere in your manual does it outline how to launch your vehicle - because the S2000 is not designed for drag racing (or any racing for that matter). It's a street car - not a race car.

I've seen that many times- stick w/ stock driveshafts and spacers. I don't even launch my car (some drifting though) and I swear I would go through Driveshaft Shop axles every 6 months. They never get the right size- they are either too short or too long and the collars break much sooner than stocks. Now I have level 3 (which are the same as 5's) with their supplied hubs- a replacement hub is $175 and it comes with wheel studs that are an inch too long.

I've never launched my S. It's just not worth it. Car wasn't designed for it.
Maybe the US version

Here's a quote from honda.nl, yes it's in Dutch.
Found here:
http://www.honda.nl/content/automobielen/m...0_techniek.html
Just to prove I didn't make it up.
Deze atmosferische krachtbron stuwt deze sportcabrio in 6.2 seconden van 0 naar 100 km/h en vervolgens naar een top van 241 km/h.
Even without any knowledge of the Dutch language, you'll recognize "6.2" and "0 naar 100 km/h".
"naar" means to, its relatively easy to see this means 0 to 100 km/h in 6.2 seconds.
How am I supposed to realize that without a proper launch?
Have I bought a car that is advertised to be able to do something I'm not supposed to do?
No way

Key word = proper

I want to know the same...what's your standard launch RPM range?
It was a side-step at a lil over 6k, but it was on somewhat new pavement and I think thats what caused it. I was just stupid and regret it, but I am glad that it was not my diff

Thanks...

After all the warnings people have given, I don't feel like replacing my diff so I try to be good about taking off lightly and then hammering it Problem with the stock clutch is that even if you try to feather it slightly and avoid an overly harsh launch, it won't stop slipping even when your foot is completely off the pedal. Stupid dual-spring action

I am running a Competition Clutch stage 2 clutch and 8.5lb flywheel, I know that this clutch didn't help

Over 6k that is a launch I think I will be okay at 3500 or so, not trying to lauch hard just a quick start on the street.
