Default Wind Noise - Top Up

Hello,

I am new here. I have been enjoying my S2000 for about a month now.

I finally found one after over a year of trying to find a perfect example.

I have owned other convertables and I am surprised by the amount of wind noise that you get while driving with the top up.

Is this common?

Are the two latches adjustable?

If not are the catches replaceable - mine show some wear

Thank You for any input

You need to get the heavy duty hardtop windshield strikers. This was a problem with early cars, for which there was a TSB on. All later cars ('02 and newer) came with the HT strikers from the factory.

cheap fix is to put 1/4 inch aquarium tubing on the latch hooks which tighten up the pull.

screw that cheapest way is put your top up and hook the latches then move the button as if you were gonna pull the top down....that way it makes a tighter seal and you have no wind noise at all...fixes it perfectly...thats what i do and i can hold a convo with someone going 80+ with it like that
