x-brace
I SELL X-BRACES.
Now that's out of the way here's my take on it from an owner's perspective.
This is a useless debate. It wouldn't matter what evidence was presented (eg; UtahS2K posting in this thread that he has done measurable testing or the positive feedback of hundreds of owners with x-braces) some people will still say black is white and white is black and argue the laws of physics. And that's their right
I for one do not believe for a minute that the hundreds (possibly thousands) of owners who have fitted braces to their car and reported improvements are talking through their behinds or suffering some sort of placebo effect and am getting a little weary of the intimation that we're all somehow defective in our thinking.
Despite assertions in this thread to the contrary the x-brace (Whiteline) I have on my car makes for a marked improvement on uneven road surfaces, a noticeable difference in straight line handling (i.e. less tendency to wander and follow ridges in the road surface as cars with wide tyres do.), an improvement over corrugated road surfaces and an improvement in steering response (particularly noticeable during cornering where slightly less steering input is needed as a result).
It has absolutely nothing at all to do with me being a faster driver or a better driver than the next guy and everything to do with how my car handles and feels for me under my normal driving conditions.
Refute it all you like
If it made no difference there would be hundreds (or thousands) of owners telling us so rather than 2 or 3.
