Just found out that some friends of ours from the neighborhood are going to be in Paris the day we arrive. We leave the next day for our river cruise and they will be returning to the States the next day. So looking like we can have dinner that night. They spend quite a bit of time in the city, so have a good restaurant in mind.

Apparently, I'm headed on a cruise next Summer. My nephew graduated HS in May, but, because he went to Germany for a trip his Senior year, then did Birthright in Israel over the summer, his graduation event is happening next summer. So, the family is going on a Caribbean Cruise.
Not my preference, but, hey, it's not my choice. 9 or 10 days I believe, with 4 on land. Bermuda, St. Maarten, Puerto Rico and Labadi/Haiti. Leaving from NY area, so an extra few days to get there and back.
This isn't my kind of cruise. Lots of "at sea" time.
Then, later in the year, during our traditional traveling window of late September to early November, we'll look to use the timeshare. Maybe somewhere in the Southwest or Texas. Probably something more city oriented, with activities in town or drivable. Albuquerque, Santa Fe, Austin are choices. Sedona is a choice too, but I've been there and my understanding is that it's become completely commercial now? When I was there last time, I stayed in the first timeshare they had built there, circa 1992 or 1993 maybe?

Personally, I'd pick Austin, but that's because we really, really love Austin.

The wife and I have reserved 2018 vacations plans for both a Peruvian and England/Scotland excursions and travels for late spring and early autumn, respectively. We’re really looking forward to it! Our pet cat is...um, not as thrilled.

We just booked a cruise from Venice to Rome in July. We will stay an additional 3 days in Rome before heading home. This should be interesting for both of use. It will be our first cruise and our first trip to Italy.

Sounds nice...I did a number of ocean cruises with my ex. The July river cruise in France will be a first for me. I also want to do a Mississippi river cruise on a paddlewheeler.

We also booked a cruise just last weekend, Florida to Panama Canal, back to Florida, 11 days in March. Will be our second cruise, the first was 1995 in the Indian Ocean for three days. It was three days too long. Decided to try it again and see if we like this one. If not, it will be the last one for us.

Did the Panama Canal once from San Juan to Acapulco, with several stops. Really enjoyed it. The canal is amazing. Loved Acapulco, too, then. Would never go there now.

Our April SC trip will be here soon. I just made a payment on the condo rental. A sure sign! Apparently the grandson is looking forward to our trip to Niagara Falls in June He was asking questions when I was with him on Saturday. I have plenty of time, but I need to do more research as to which tourist sites will appeal to two young boys. He is also excited about going into a different country....LOL...I'm happy if he's happy.

Wife & the kids and I are headed to Yellowstone & Glacier Nat'l Parks this summer. I've never been to Glacier, so I'll get to mark that one off the list.
