Donna just finished this needlepoint she started nearly 2 years ago. She didn't work on it during the summer and did other needlepoints as well to break it up. Its 10x12.

Wow, tell Donna that is beautiful! Such detail!
Looks very challenging with all of the different shades of the colors.
Many years ago I used to do embroidery, needlepoint and crochet. Later on I took oil painting lessons and joined a local art club. I enjoyed it immensely, but arthritis and peripheral neuropathy made all of it too painful to continue. I love seeing the pictures of everyone's art projects.
This is my favorite tie. After I retired I tossed out all my ties except a couple.
This silk tie was hand painted and signed by the artist, Dennis Simon, at the Watkins Glen race track in 1994 while attending the 40th anniversary of the MG Collier Cup vintage races. It shows the 1953 LeMans 24 Hour race. American Briggs Cunningham produced race car number 3; his C4 RK is driven by C. Moran and J Gordon- Benett finished 10th overall. Simon’s automotive illustrations have been featured in car magazines, posters, and paintings worldwide.
